Safety & Supervision

Adult supervision

Sessions involving minors should be supervised by a responsible adult, whether in person (a designated school location) or remotely (a parent/guardian aware the session is taking place). Schools define their own approved locations and supervision expectations, and tutors and tutees must acknowledge these expectations during registration.

Parent/guardian involvement

For tutees in grades 6–8 (and any additional grades a school requires), a parent or guardian must provide contact information and consent before the student can book a session, and is copied on booking, cancellation, rescheduling, and reminder emails.

Reporting a concern

Every booking includes tools to report a safety or conduct concern. Reports go to your school administrator and, for serious incidents, are escalated to Just One Chesed program staff. Schools and program staff can warn, suspend, or permanently remove an account, and can prevent two specific users from being matched again.

Academic honesty

Tutoring is for learning support — not for completing assignments, writing essays, or taking tests on a student's behalf. Violations can be reported and may result in account suspension.
